About Siliguri
Siliguri is situated at the foothills of eastern Himalayas, landscaped by the lush tea gardens of Dooars. Siliguri is the gateway to Darjeeling, Sikkim, Bhutan, Kalimpong, eastern Nepal and Assam. Tourists also use Siliguri as base to visit the Mahananda Wild Life Sanctuary, the rain forests of Dooars, Jaldapara and Gorumara sanctuaries famous for its one-horned rhinoceros, Buxa Tiger Reserve, Mirik hill resort and of course, the tea plantations, world renowned for Darjeeling Tea ('The Champagne of Tea').
